Seminar on Currents’ Physical Components-based power theory of electrical systems

To all undergraduate and graduate students of Electrical and electronics engineering,

IEEE student branch at Isfahan university of technology invites you all to a seminar on “Currents’ Physical Components (CPC) – based power theory of electrical systems with non-sinusoidal and asymmetrical voltages and currents” on wednesday, May 29th, 2016 at the Department of electrical and computer engineering, Isfahan university of technology.
The seminar will be presented by Leszek S. Czarnecki, IEEE Life Fellow, and the Professor of Technological Sciences of Poland.
The main approaches to interpretation and description of power related phenomena in systems with nonsinusoidal voltages and currents will be presented at the Seminar. It would include a discussion on the Budeanu, Fryze, Shepherd and Zakikhani, Kusters and Moore, as well as the Depenbrock power theories and power definitions in those theories. Moreover, misinterpretations of the Instantaneous Reactive Power (IRP) p-q Theory and the Conservative Power Theory (CPT) would be discussed at the Seminar.
Fundamentals of the Currents’ Physical Components (CPC) – based power theory, presently the most advanced power theory of single- and three phase systems with non-sinusoidal and asymmetrical voltages and currents would be presented. Interpretation of power related phenomena in terms of the CPC- based power theory and its application for methods of reactive compensators design for single- and three-phase systems and for control of switching compensators would be presented as well.
Future generalization of the CPC –based power theory to systems with semi-periodic voltages and current would be discussed.
