IEEE Student Website Contest

Dear students,

We want to inform you that we are approaching deadline for IEEE Student Web Site contest really fast. The regional deadline for web site submission is 22 April (annually). Be creative and submit your Student Branch Web Site.

All IEEE Student Branches and Branch chapters are eligible for the Student Branch Web Site contest. Each Student Branch may enter at most one Web site, regardless of the number of Branch chapters present.

Iran Section Video Clip Contest

Iran Section has released the rules for a video Clip competition among Student Branches. The Purpose of this competition is to create an informative and introduction video clip with the emphases on the domestic components of the place the branch is located.

IUT student Branch has found this a great opportunity to do its best to introduce IEEE and show the benefits of IEEE memberships.

IEEEXtreme 24-Hour Programming Competition

IEEEXtreme is a global challenge in which teams of IEEE Student members—advised and proctored by an IEEE member, and often supported by an IEEE Student Branch—compete in a 24-hour time span against each other to solve a set of programming problems.
IEEEXtreme 9.0 was held 24 October 2015.

Congratulations to our Branch Teams, for successfully winning the 137th and 157th place among 2000 team worldwide.

IEEE R8 Student Paper Contest

Congratulations to our Branch Member, Mr.M.B.Aghashahi, has successfully graded among top 20 student papers.

The five chosen finalists will present their papers at the Melecon 2016 conference, Limassol Cyprus on April 18.

 

 

Mind the Gap!

Mind the Gap! is a contest challenging IEEE Students in Region8 to come up with a project proposal describing an idea that helps reduce the gap between generations and bring them together. It should be feasible, useful, and beneficial to all generations.

The first, second, and third prizes amount to 750, 500, and 250 USD, respectively!
